Mythology Collection

My protagonists are often female figures whose faces are partially hidden behind patchworks of fabric and hand-torn paper. “The eyes are the mirror of the soul,” and covering them symbolizes the difficulty in recognizing the soul of others: no one can fully understand the life that lies behind a gaze. Every life experience influences the daily life, emotions, and psyche of each human being, and women often have a different and more challenging perspective on life than men. This concept also guides my latest paintings dedicated to Greek mythology, where I reinterpret the stories and depictions of certain goddesses, emphasizing the concepts of peace, resilience, and harmony.
